New Tata X1 (NEW INDICA)

IT MAY look familiar, but this X1 is the all-new Indica, not a mere facelift. The car has a fresh silhouette, with an arched, curved roof and large, crescent-shaped headlamps. It is longer, but still within 3.8 metres, giving it more room on the inside and higher levels of comfort - the new Indica will give owners more of what has made the current car a bestseller. There is a new 1.5-litre normally-aspirated diesel for the base version.

The Will car also use petrol and diesel Fiat engines. The non-independent rear suspension and interior are both comp­letely new, but the talking point is the centrally-mounted instrument cluster with a large semi-circular speedometer. The X1 will also get optional 15-inch wheels, meaning you can expect improved dynamics and handling as well. There is even a 90bhp version planned.
