New Tata Safari 2.2 Dicor

THE SAFARI has been awaiting a decent engine since its launch a decade ago. The commercial vehicle-based gravelly 3.0-litre Di­COR motor is not that engine. But the new 2.2 DiCOR motor holds tremendous promise. 14obhp of refined power and loads of torque as well - the twin-cam, 16- valve, state-of-the-art motor will be a big improvement for sure. But just how much is anyone’s guess. You can also expect a minor facelift to go along with the new motor.
