Colour Blindness

COLOUR Blindness was reported, in America, according-to official statistics, as the cause-for rejection n of 15 per cent of the men applying for the Navy, 12 per Dent for the Army and 5 per cent for the Air Corps. These eager, well-qualified young men were thus deprived of the service of their choice. In some places, firemen and policemen must pass colour tests as must railway employees. Therefore, this subject is of wide importance.

We state from experience that colour can be taught to colour-blind retinal nerves in eyes otherwise normal. This has been done by relaxing the mind, the eyes and the nerves, and then educating the eye to differentiate colour sensations instead of interpreting everything as light or dark. Colour sensitivity can be developed by educating the nerve ends of the retina to react to the different wave lengths of the colours in the spectrum. We find that few persons with good vision are truly colour-blind; that is, see everything as black, white or Most colour-blind eyes, because of decentralisation, on or colour ignorance, misinterpret or interchange ,certain colours, most frequently reds, green and browns.
