SERVICEMEN'S EYES

Many of the flyers who came to us, rejected because colour blindness, could readily recognise the colours the spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet were even skilled in painting or poster work but failed their tests on the Ishi Hari charts. They teach that vitamin A "produces growth and development of all protective tissues including membranes of the alimentary canal, skin and delicate tissue-linings of nose, throat and, eyes." The retina . would benefit, being an inner lining of the eye.

They say it is logical to assume that vitamin A affects the cones of the retina (the most sensitive lining of the eye), which scientists agree control colour vision.
