Digital Zoom Camera Memories are made of this... family holiday pictures captured on a good camera. Kodak’s line of megapixel digital cameras have a new addition, the DC 240 Digital Zoom. NASA uses Kodak’s Digital camera and technology on the shuttle and even took it all the way to Mars. The a 1.3 megapixel model is an auto-focus auto-exposure camera with a built in automatic flash and self-timer. Its 6x zoom capability (3x optical, 2x digital - the equivalent of 39 mm to 117 mm lens) offers close up focus to 25 cm (10 inches) and its 1.3 megapixel CCD sensor captures highly detailed images suitable for prints larger than standard 5 x 7 photos.
The camera has fast power up (less than 2.5 seconds), a swift shutter response and takes less than half a second between shots. The user can review pictures immediately after capture or preview pictures before shooting at over 15 frames/second on a 1.8-inch color LCD screen. And its Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface ensures fast downloading to both Macintosh and Windows-based computers.
The DC 240 comes with an 8 MB Kodak picture card, serial and USB cables for (Macintosh and PC), audio/ video cables, NiMH batteries and charger. Also in the box are CD-ROMs containing software including Kodak Picture Easy software, which lets users access digital pictures with point and click simplicity through its intuitive graphical user interface, and Adobe Photo-Deluxe and Adobe PageMill software.
The DC240 is priced at Rs 44,000 plus taxes and is available in leading camera shops
